Less Expensive
Co-ops are usually more affordable, per square foot than condos and most rentals in the same area, with the added benefit of no purchasing costs.
Social Connectivity
Co-ops often provide more social “connectivity” than other rental environments, which can be helpful in big cities. Most co-op members know their neighbours

Co-op housing is often a great stepping stone for members to afford to continue education to have a career and eventually buy a home.
Who We Are?
Huronia Family Housing Inc. was incorporated on [Date of your Coop Start Date] and is a family community providing market rent and rent geared to income housing for members.
There are 25 units, with 10 as two bedrooms and 15 as three bedrooms. All members has to apply directly to the office (contact information in the contact us page).
The Co-op offers in-unit hookups for personal laundry machine and dryers, close to schools, and with many parks and recreation facilities.
Our community strives to make Huronia Family Housing Inc. a place to call home rather than just a place to live.

The mission of the Co-operative Housing Federation of Canada (CHF Canada) is to inspire, represent and serve their members in a united co operative housing movement. The members are the housing co-ops and the organizations and people who support them.
CHF Canada sets out a strategic plan to meet member needs, including education and resources, advocacy and enterprise services like insurance, asset management and refinancing.
